Top on our list is the United States of America. The USA is by far the country with the most TikTok users. As of March 2022, the total number of TikTok daily active users had surpassed 131 million (DataReportal – 2022). Of the total number of users, 60% belong to the Gen–Z generation. Consequently, given the positive rating, the numbers is expected grow to around 48 million in 2025. Moreover, according to Statista, 61 percent of TikTok’s subscribers are women, and in particular, women aged between 10 – 19 years. Furthermore, TikTok is relatively popular with women who make up 65 per cent of TikTok market penetration compared to 35 percent of males.

Finally, the app boasts over 11 million active users and female users dominating the app.

In August of 2021, TikTok users surpassed a 3.2 million mark for Canada. According to a report by Canadians Internet, 47% of TikTok users said that they check TikTok daily. 60% of TikTok users in Canada are female, with male users accounting for 40%. Of the total users, 40% below are 18-24 years old.

Gender variations – Generally, women use TikTok more than men. While this is true in countries like the United States and the United Kingdom, the opposite is true for countries like South Africa and Italy, where the male audience comprises around 67.5% of users.
Age demographics – Gen-Z and millennials dominate the app at varying degrees. In Mexico, for instance, they comprise 56% of the total TikTok users. On the other hand, the figure stands at 40% in Canada.
User base growth – TikTok saw a global growth rate of 115.76%, however, the rates vary in every country. In the past 18-month, TikTok’s growth rate stood at 787.86% in the United States.
